For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.” | As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” |

You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world. |

One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. | And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment. |
Paul said, “John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Christ Jesus.” | Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.” |
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. | For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. |
