So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. But now faith, hope, and love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God.
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart; who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend. One who walks with integrity, practices righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, Nor do evil to his neighbor, Nor bring shame on his friend.
But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.
He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will do it.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is only fitting, because your faith is increasing abundantly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another grows ever greater.
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.
We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified. We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles; nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified.
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.
See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek what is good for one another and for all people.
For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.
For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have. For if the willingness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.Let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but if there is any good word for edification according to the need of the moment, say that, so that it will give grace to those who hear.
