A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son gives grief to his mother.A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
The blessing of the Lord is what brings wealth, and our toil adds nothing to it.Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.
Bring the tithes in full into the treasury so that there may be food in my house. Put me thus to the test, says the Lord of hosts, and see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down blessings upon you without measure.“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be enough room for.”
I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph. The hope of the righteous brings them joy, but the expectations of the wicked are frustrated.The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked will perish.
If you listen to the voice of the Lord, your God, and you do what is right in his sight, if you listen to his ordinances and observe all of his laws, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you.
Treasures obtained by wicked means profit nothing, but a righteous life brings delivery from death.Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.
For no one can be regarded as justified in the sight of God by keeping the Law. The Law brings only the consciousness of sin.Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
To these God chose to make known how rich is the priceless glory that this mystery brings to the Gentiles—Christ in you, your hope of glory.To whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
