Burdens be lifted up (2/4)

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, says: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.”For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
The vine has dried up, and the fig tree withered— the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all of the trees of the field are withered; for joy has withered away from the sons of men.The vine is dried up and the fig tree is withered; the pomegranate, the palm and the apple tree— all the trees of the field—are dried up. Surely the people’s joy is withered away.

Yahweh makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up.The Lord sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts.
I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.
Yahweh bless you, and keep you. Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace.The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to the sky, he blessed them, broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. They ate and were all filled. They gathered up twelve baskets of broken pieces that were left over.Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal.Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity.He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless.
But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous.The Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous.
But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
For you will light my lamp, Yahweh. My God will light up my darkness.You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.
But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ.Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men!How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.
Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you. So I will bless you while I live. I will lift up my hands in your name.Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.

But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
