He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we did in righteousness, but in accordance with His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit. He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another.By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
So that I may come to you in joy by the will of God and relax in your company. So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Now Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led around by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He was hungry.Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by the Law; you have fallen from grace. You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith.See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright— but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness.
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief cornerstone.Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.”For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer person is decaying, yet our inner person is being renewed day by day. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law.All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.
But the gracious gift is not like the offense. For if by the offense of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many. But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!

However, it was our sicknesses that He Himself bore, And our pains that He carried; Yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted, Struck down by God, and humiliated.Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
