Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that weighs us down and the sins that so easily distract us and with perseverance run the race that lies ahead of us.Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and undefiled is this: to come to the aid of orphans and widows in their hardships and to keep oneself untarnished by the world.Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
Let marriage be held in honor by all, and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for those who are immoral and adulterers will have to face God’s judgment.Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
But according to Scripture all things have been confined under sin, so that through faith in Jesus Christ what was promised might be given to those who believe.But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
Indeed, under the Law almost everything is purified by blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will permit you to find him, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you.The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
Let no one delude himself. If anyone among you considers himself to be wise by worldly standards, he must become a fool in order to be truly wise.Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
