Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit.Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh. For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit.
Rejoice greatly, O daughter Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter Jerusalem! Lo, your king comes to you; triumphant and victorious is he, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
Those who guard their mouths preserve their lives; those who open wide their lips come to ruin.He who guards his mouth guards his soul. One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.
And he said, “It is what comes out of a person that defiles. For it is from within, from the human heart, that evil intentions come: fornication, theft, murder, adultery, avarice, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, folly. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”He said, “That which proceeds out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts, covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the man.”
The hope of the righteous ends in gladness, but the expectation of the wicked comes to nothing.The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked will perish.
And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.
For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him.My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him.
Just as you do not know how the breath comes to the bones in the mother's womb, so you do not know the work of God, who makes everything.As you don’t know what is the way of the wind, nor how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child; even so you don’t know the work of God who does all.
He humbled you by letting you hunger, then by feeding you with manna, with which neither you nor your ancestors were acquainted, in order to make you understand that one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.He humbled you, allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know, that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh’s mouth.
Keep awake therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.Watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom, and humility goes before honor.The fear of Yahweh teaches wisdom. Before honor is humility.
But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay. Deliverance belongs to the Lord!But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to Yahweh.
Who is wise and understanding among you? Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom.Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.
To make an apt answer is a joy to anyone, and a word in season, how good it is!Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time!
Deceit is in the mind of those who plan evil, but those who counsel peace have joy.Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil, but joy comes to the promoters of peace.
From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this ought not to be so.Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

For in much wisdom is much vexation, and those who increase knowledge increase sorrow.For in much wisdom is much grief; and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.
