Bible Verses about 'Confidence'

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in mortals. It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in people.
For we have become partners of Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end.For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our commitment firm until the end.
A gossip goes about telling secrets, but one who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a confidence. One who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets, But one who is trustworthy conceals a matter.
And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming. Now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not draw back from Him in shame at His coming.
So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?”So that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”
And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have boldness before God; and we receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do what pleases him.Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.
Do not envy the violent and do not choose any of their ways; for the perverse are an abomination to the Lord, but the upright are in his confidence.Do not envy a violent person, And do not choose any of his ways. For the devious are an abomination to the Lord; But He is intimate with the upright.
Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Now faith is the certainty of things hoped for, a proof of things not seen.
Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit.Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose trust is the Lord. For he will be like a tree planted by the water That extends its roots by a stream, And does not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought, Nor cease to yield fruit.
It does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. It does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself. That their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and that they would attain to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself.
In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; God has made the one as well as the other, so that mortals may not find out anything that will come after them.On the day of prosperity be happy, But on the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other So that a person will not discover anything that will come after him.
