- Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
- Children's children are the crown of old men;
and the glory of children are their fathers. - Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
- And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
- And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

- For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people:
he will beautify the meek with salvation. - Blessings are upon the head of the just:
but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
