So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.
Even so, I have noticed one thing, at least, that is good. It is good for people to eat, drink, and enjoy their work under the sun during the short life God has given them, and to accept their lot in life.This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot.

(It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.
Oh, that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands! Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
