Bible Verses about 'Fools'

One who walks with wise people will be wise, But a companion of fools will suffer harm.Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but he who mingles with fools will suffer harm.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools are those who despise wisdom and instruction.
When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow! When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it, for God has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill the vow you have made.
A highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for the one who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it.A highway will be there that will be called the Way of Holiness. No one who is unclean may pass over it; it will serve as a path for pilgrims and no fool will be able to use it.
Words from the mouth of a wise person are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him.The words of a wise man win favor, but a fool’s tongue is his undoing.
Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent.Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; if he closes his lips, he is regarded as intelligent.
A fool always loses his temper, But a wise person holds it back.A fool gives free rein to his anger, but a wise man bides his time and calms it.
A fool’s anger is known at once, But a prudent person conceals dishonor.A fool is quick to show his anger, but a prudent man ignores an insult.
A fool’s lips bring strife, And his mouth invites beatings. The lips of a fool cause strife, and his mouth provokes a flogging.
So then, be careful how you walk, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. Therefore, take care to live as intelligent people, and do not be like those who are senseless. Make the most of the present time, for this is a wicked age.
A fool does not delight in understanding, But in revealing his own mind.A fool takes no pleasure in understanding but only delights in expressing his own opinions.
Take care that no one deceives himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.Let no one delude himself. If anyone among you considers himself to be wise by worldly standards, he must become a fool in order to be truly wise.
Avoiding strife is an honor for a person, But any fool will quarrel. It is honorable to avoid strife, but every fool is quarrelsome.
The wise of heart will receive commands, But a babbling fool will come to ruin.A wise man will heed commandments, but a babbling fool will come to grief.
