Bible Verses about 'Fools'
- One who walks with wise people will be wise,
But a companion of fools will suffer harm. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
Fools despise wisdom and instruction. - When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow!
- A highway will be there, a roadway,
And it will be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean will not travel on it,
But it will be for the one who walks that way,
And fools will not wander on it. - Words from the mouth of a wise person are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him.
- Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise;
When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent. - A fool always loses his temper,
But a wise person holds it back. - A fool’s anger is known at once,
But a prudent person conceals dishonor. - A fool’s lips bring strife,
And his mouth invites beatings. - So then, be careful how you walk, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
- A fool does not delight in understanding,
But in revealing his own mind. - Take care that no one deceives himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.
- Avoiding strife is an honor for a person,
But any fool will quarrel. - The wise of heart will receive commands,
But a babbling fool will come to ruin.
