But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints. | But sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints. |
Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. | Flee sexual immorality. Every other sin that a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. |
|
Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. | Therefore, treat the parts of your earthly body as dead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry. |
Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom. | Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. |
But, because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. | But because of sexual immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband. |
For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God. | For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God. |
He said, “That which proceeds out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts, covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the man.” | And He was saying, “That which comes out of the person, that is what defiles the person. For from within, out of the hearts of people, come the evil thoughts, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, acts of adultery, deeds of greed, wickedness, deceit, indecent behavior, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the person.” |
Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. | And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. |
For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. | Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. |
But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. | But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses. |
Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. | Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. |
Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. | Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also. |
Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is covered. | How blessed is he whose wrongdoing is forgiven, Whose sin is covered! |
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken. | He alone is my rock and my salvation, My refuge; I will not be shaken. |
Yahweh is with you while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you. | The Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you abandon Him, He will abandon you. |
He alone is my rock, my salvation, and my fortress. I will never be greatly shaken. | He alone is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I will not be greatly shaken. |
Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions. | And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you for your offenses. |
For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me. | For You are my rock and my fortress; For the sake of Your name You will lead me and guide me. |
For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? | For what does it benefit a person to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? |
Arise, Yahweh! God, lift up your hand! Don’t forget the helpless. | Arise, Lord; God, lift up Your hand. Do not forget the humble. |
In him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. | In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to the riches of His grace. |
Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in that which is to come. | And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. |
Yahweh preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but he turns the way of the wicked upside down. | The Lord watches over strangers; He supports the fatherless and the widow, But He thwarts the way of the wicked. |
I will never forget your precepts, for with them, you have revived me. | I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have revived me. |
