Fruit of the spirit (4/4)

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.Asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin.
Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you.
To him who is afflicted, kindness should be shown by his friend, Even though he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.One should be kind to a fainting friend, but you accuse me without any fear of the Almighty.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked what is perverse.The lips of the godly speak helpful words, but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse words.
And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.A sign was fastened above Jesus’ head, announcing the charge against him. It read: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy.Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.
The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, And before honor is humility.Fear of the Lord teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor.
For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man.
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the Lord our God.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.
The way of the Lord is strength for the upright, But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity, but it destroys the wicked.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people.
