For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul? Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal. But the Scripture has confined everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him.
