Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all consolation, who consoles us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to console those who are in any affliction with the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory about to be revealed to us.

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or trouble, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same intention (for whoever has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin).
But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread. But even if you do suffer for doing what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear, and do not be intimidated.

He was despised and abandoned by men, A man of great pain and familiar with sickness; And like one from whom people hide their faces, He was despised, and we had no regard for Him.He was despised and rejected by others; a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity; and as one from whom others hide their faces he was despised, and we held him of no account.
And the one who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.And whoever does not take up the cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ. For just as the sufferings of Christ are abundant for us, so also our consolation is abundant through Christ.
However, it was our sicknesses that He Himself bore, And our pains that He carried; Yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted, Struck down by God, and humiliated.Surely he has borne our infirmities and carried our diseases; yet we accounted him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted.
For you have been called for this purpose, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you would follow in His steps. For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you should follow in his steps.
That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the sharing of his sufferings by becoming like him in his death.
Then Job got up, tore his robe, and shaved his head; then he fell to the ground and worshiped. He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”Then Job arose, tore his robe, shaved his head, and fell on the ground and worshiped. He said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there; the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
