Those who live according to the flesh can never be pleasing to God. | Those who are in the flesh can’t please God. |
While experiencing temptation, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. | Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. |
Hence, be imitators of God, as beloved children. | Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children. |
However, God has revealed these things to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit explores everything, even the depths of God. | But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. |

Do you not realize that you are God’s temple, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? | Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? |
