- Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to all those on whom his favor rests. - The crowds that preceded him and those that followed kept shouting:
“Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the highest!” - Great is the Lord and worthy of the highest praise;
no one can even begin to comprehend his greatness. - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory shine over all the earth. - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
and let your glory shine over all the earth. - Because of this, God greatly exalted him
and bestowed on him the name
that is above all other names,
so that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bend
of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth. - The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the child to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.”
- Exalted at God’s right hand, he received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.
Rather, let justice flow like a river,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. He consoles us in all our afflictions and thereby enables us to console others in their tribulations, offering them the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.Next verse!With image
