| One who walks in integrity walks securely, But one who perverts his ways will be found out. | Anyone who leads an honorable life walks in safety, but whoever pursues wicked ways will be found out. |
| For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly practice justice between a person and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the orphan, or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, nor follow other gods to your own ruin, then I will let you live in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever. | However, if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you are upright in your dealings with your neighbor; if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow; if you do not shed innocent blood in this place; and if you do not follow other gods and thereby cause your own destruction, then I will allow you to live in this place, in the land that I gave as a permanent gift to your fathers long ago. |
| If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him. | If you know me, then you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him. You have seen him. |
