If anyone (2/4)

Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.
Truly, truly I say to you, the one who receives anyone I send, receives Me; and the one who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.I tell you the truth, anyone who welcomes my messenger is welcoming me, and anyone who welcomes me is welcoming the Father who sent me.
No one is to say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else.
Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the Law.Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.
One who turns his ear away from listening to the Law, Even his prayer is an abomination.God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law.
And he would answer and say to them, “The one who has two tunics is to share with the one who has none; and the one who has food is to do likewise.”John replied, “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.”
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.
“Can a person hide himself in hiding places So that I do not see him?” declares the Lord. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord.“Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the Lord.
See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek what is good for one another and for all people.See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.
The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
So that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”
And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.
Therefore let’s make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience. So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall.
So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them. For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.So if someone tells you, ‘Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,’ don’t bother to go and look. Or, ‘Look, he is hiding here,’ don’t believe it! For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man comes.
For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.”As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave unpunished the one who takes His name in vain. You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name.
But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect.Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.
A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word!Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time!
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
Therefore, no one is to act as your judge in regard to food and drink, or in respect to a festival or a new moon, or a Sabbath day— things which are only a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality.
If someone says, “I love God,” and yet he hates his brother or sister, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother and sister whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?
If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. If you love me, obey my commandments.
For one will hardly die for a righteous person; though perhaps for the good person someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
The one who has believed and has been baptized will be saved; but the one who has not believed will be condemned.Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.
Opening his mouth, Peter said: “I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him.”Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.”

Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
