Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. | Blessed is a person who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to those who love him. |

Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. | You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am Yahweh. |
| Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. | Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions. |
| If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back. | If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. |
| Then what will you think if you see the Son of Man ascend to heaven again? | Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? |
| I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. | Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there! |
| But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. | If the person still refuses to listen, take your case to the church. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector. |
| But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently. | But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience. |
| The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you. | Yahweh is with you while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you. |
| Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them. | Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it. |
| And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers. | This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother. |
| This is a trustworthy saying: If we die with him, we will also live with him. | This saying is trustworthy: “For if we died with him, we will also live with him.” |
| People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray. | He is in the way of life who heeds correction, but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray. |
| If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. | For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
| Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” | Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?” |
| But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. | But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. |
