| Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. | If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. | That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. |

He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good. | And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good? |
| But the Lord watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love. | Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy. |
| And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. | But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. |
| Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? | He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? |
| Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? | Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? |
| Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts. | Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! |
| Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. | Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. |
| Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” | And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” |

| Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. | When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before! | And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. |
| Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.” | Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” |
| As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!” | And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” |
| The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. | As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. |
