Yours is the kingdom, Yahweh, and you are exalted as head above all. |
| For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does. | For Yahweh’s word is right. All his work is done in faithfulness. |
| Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. | Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him. |
| Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment. | The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. |
| “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” | “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” |
| The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just than when we offer him sacrifices. | To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice. |

But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. | Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are few who find it. |
| You know what I long for, Lord; you hear my every sigh. | Lord, all my desire is before you. My groaning is not hidden from you. |
| There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death. | There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. |
