| For if we believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead, so also God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus. | For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. |

| But Jesus said to him, “ ‘If You can’? All things are possible for the one who believes.” | Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. |
| Come close to God and He will come close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. | Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. |
| I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father. | I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. |
| The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. | The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. |
