Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or don’t you know about your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this: After his mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Until seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.”
There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you—not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
