| The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him. | Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. |
| Just as the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, the one who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. | Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. |

| What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before? | Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! |

| The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ | Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. |
| Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” | When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” |
| So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” | To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” |
| Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.” | Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.” |
| So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free. | So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. |

Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies. | You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. |
