Just (3/4)

But be doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves. But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.”
Guarding the paths of justice and preserving the way of his faithful ones.He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him.
Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.
For as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ.Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.
But just when he had resolved to do this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.”As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.”
For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.
Know then in your heart that as a parent disciplines a child so the Lord your God disciplines you.Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good.
For the Lord loves justice; he will not forsake his faithful ones. The righteous shall be kept safe forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.For the Lord loves justice, and he will never abandon the godly. He will keep them safe forever, but the children of the wicked will die.
Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who do his commands; seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the Lord's wrath.Seek the Lord, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you— protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.
And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
Those who are wise understand these things; those who are discerning know them. For the ways of the Lord are right, and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.Let those who are wise understand these things. Let those with discernment listen carefully. The paths of the Lord are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them. But in those paths sinners stumble and fall.
When the Lord your God has blessed you, as he promised you, you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.The Lord your God will bless you as he has promised. You will lend money to many nations but will never need to borrow. You will rule many nations, but they will not rule over you.
The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our ancestors; may he not leave us or abandon us.May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us or abandon us.
So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God; for those who enter God's rest also cease from their labors as God did from his.So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world.
The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still. The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.
When they bring you to trial and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say; but say whatever is given you at that time, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. But when you are arrested and stand trial, don’t worry in advance about what to say. Just say what God tells you at that time, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
And live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
If another member of the church sins against you, go and point out the fault when the two of you are alone. If the member listens to you, you have regained that one.If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back.
The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.Just as the rich rule the poor, so the borrower is servant to the lender.
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.
As they came from their mother's womb, so they shall go again, naked as they came; they shall take nothing for their toil, which they may carry away with their hands. We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us.
They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, my special possession on the day when I act, and I will spare them as parents spare their children who serve them.“They will be my people,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “On the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child.”
He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.

Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.Just say a simple, ‘Yes, I will,’ or ‘No, I won’t.’ Anything beyond this is from the evil one.
