- The Lord is just in all his ways,
and kind in all his doings. - Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul.
- Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
- Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, in order to make her holy by cleansing her with the washing of water by the word.
- Beloved, we are God's children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is. And all who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.

- Look at the proud!
Their spirit is not right in them,
but the righteous live by their faith. - Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you. - So that, just as sin exercised dominion in death, so grace might also exercise dominion through justification leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- But be doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves.
- To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - For a thousand years in your sight
are like yesterday when it is past,
or like a watch in the night. - When Jesus heard this, he replied, “Do not fear. Only believe, and she will be saved.”
- But if the wicked turn away from all their sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is lawful and right, they shall surely live; they shall not die.
- Instead, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct; for it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
- The memory of the righteous is a blessing,
but the name of the wicked will rot. - Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife just as Christ is the head of the church, the body of which he is the Savior.
- But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
- Know then in your heart that as a parent disciplines a child so the Lord your God disciplines you.
