I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your precepts. | With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. |
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us exult and rejoice in it. | This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. |

O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us, for we have placed our hope in you. | Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. |
Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze on what lies before you. | Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. |
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory shine over all the earth. | Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth. |
Let your love be sincere. Loathe what is evil and hold fast to what is good. | Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. |
Do not let anyone lead you astray. “Bad company corrupts good morals.” | Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. |
Restore us, O Lord of hosts; let your face shine upon us, and we will be saved. | Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. |
Guide my steps in accord with your word and never let evil triumph over me. | Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. |
Let those who are wise understand these words, and let the prudent acknowledge them. For straight are the ways of the Lord; the upright walk in them, but sinners stumble. | Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein. |
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You place your trust in God. Trust also in me. | Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. |
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let your glory shine over all the earth. | Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth. |
Rather, let justice flow like a river, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. | But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream. |
Let the wicked abandon their ways and those who are evil their thoughts. Let them return to the Lord so that he may have mercy upon them; and to our God, for he is rich in forgiveness. | Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. |
Sing praise to the Lord for his mighty deeds; let this be known throughout the entire world. | Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. |
In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me. | In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. |
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your gracious Spirit lead me along a level path. | Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. |
If you are angry, do not sin. Do not let the sun set on your anger, and do not give the devil an opening. | Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. |
Teach me your ways, O Lord, so that I may walk in your truth; let me worship your name with an undivided heart. | Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. |
Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. | Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. |
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord; O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cries of supplication. | Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. |
On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.” | In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. |
At dawn let me experience your kindness, for in you I place my trust. Show me the path I must walk, for to you I lift up my soul. | Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. |
Let no foul word ever pass your lips. Say only what is useful for edification, so that your words may benefit your listeners. | Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. |
For we brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out. If we have food and clothing, let us be content with these. | For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. |
