Those who live according to the flesh can never be pleasing to God. | So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. |
However, whoever lives by the truth comes to the light so that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been done in God. | But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. |
How wonderful and delightful it is for brothers to live together in unity. | Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! |
This is how we know what love is: he laid down his life for us, and we in turn must be prepared to lay down our lives for our brethren. | Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. |
The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world and all who live in it. | The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. |

Those who live according to the flesh fix their attention on the things of the flesh, while those who live according to the Spirit set their thoughts on spiritual things. | For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. |
