Bible Verses about 'Lose'

Those who find their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will save it.For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it.For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
Be on your guard, so that you do not lose what we have worked for, but may receive a full reward.Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day.For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life? For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life? For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
My child, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot.Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
You know that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
Some friends play at friendship but a true friend sticks closer than one's nearest kin.A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
A perverse person spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
It does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known. No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Even fools who keep silent are considered wise; when they close their lips, they are deemed intelligent.Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
But now, apart from law, the righteousness of God has been disclosed, and is attested by the law and the prophets, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference.
Therefore whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed from the housetops. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us.Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
