| If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? | But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? |
| I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them. | And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them. |

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. |
| Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. | Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. |
| The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. | The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. |

| Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? | Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? |
| But the Lord watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love. | Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy. |
| If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. | And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. |
| But be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. | For your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. | For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, And Your truth unto the clouds. |
| For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by walking in his ways. | O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. | For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. |
| For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. | For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. |
