Bible Verses about 'Man’s'

One's pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.Pride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor.
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.
As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects the man.As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person.
The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way.The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.
A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before the great.Giving a gift can open doors; it gives access to important people!
The ransom of a man's life is his wealth, but a poor man hears no threat. The rich can pay a ransom for their lives, but the poor won’t even get threatened.
For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.
A rich man's wealth is his strong city, and like a high wall in his imagination. The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; they imagine it to be a high wall of safety.
The words of a wise man's mouth win him favor, but the lips of a fool consume him.Wise words bring approval, but fools are destroyed by their own words.
Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man!What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart.
Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.
What is desired in a man is steadfast love, and a poor man is better than a liar.Loyalty makes a person attractive. It is better to be poor than dishonest.
Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.
The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty.
Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from a man's envy of his neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind. Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind.
And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”
If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.
But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.
I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God.
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory.
Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him. Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.
But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction. But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.

Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind! How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.
