Matthew 24:24 (4/5)

When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.”But when Jesus heard this, He said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.”
Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”Now go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, rather than sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.
Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell. And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. Are two sparrows not sold for an assarion? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all counted. So do not fear; you are more valuable than a great number of sparrows.
Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. And the one who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.
If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.The one who has found his life will lose it, and the one who has lost his life on My account will find it.
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.
And how much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Yes, the law permits a person to do good on the Sabbath. How much more valuable then is a person than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven. Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.
Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.
And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. But I tell you that for every careless word that people speak, they will give an account of it on the day of judgment.
The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced. And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”He said to them, “But who do you yourselves say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.
If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?
But even as he spoke, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy. Listen to him.”While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice from the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him!”
“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”And He said to them, “Because of your meager faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back. Now if your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have gained your brother.
If the person still refuses to listen, take your case to the church. Then if he or she won’t accept the church’s decision, treat that person as a pagan or a corrupt tax collector. And if he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, he is to be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.

Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!”Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him?
