For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | If you forgive others for the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |

Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. | Therefore, you must also be prepared, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. |

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. | Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. You received without payment; give in the same way. |
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. | Stay awake and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak. |
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. | She will give birth to a son, and you shall name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. |
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. | In the same way, the Son of Man did not come to be served but rather to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many. |
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. | Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill them. |
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. | I tell you that on the day of judgment people will have to render an account for every careless word they utter. |
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. | In everything, deal with others as you would like them to deal with you. This is the Law and the Prophets. |
