| But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. | The end of all things is near; therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers. |

Men committed shameless acts with men and received in their own persons the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind and to things that should not be done. |
| In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. | When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul. |
| Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving. | Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving. |
