Bible Verses about Humility

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.
When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. When pride comes, then comes disgrace; but wisdom is with the humble.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are.
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.Do not adorn yourselves outwardly by braiding your hair, and by wearing gold ornaments or fine clothing; rather, let your adornment be the inner self with the lasting beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God's sight.
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering. As God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.
A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.A person's pride will bring humiliation, but one who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.Who is wise and understanding among you? Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom.
Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility. Before destruction one's heart is haughty, but humility goes before honor.
And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all.”
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous. Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.God chose what is low and despised in the world, things that are not, to reduce to nothing things that are, so that no one might boast in the presence of God.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.

Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way.
