Bible Verses about 'Mortals'

With the Lord on my side I do not fear. What can mortals do to me?The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in mortals. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
He replied, “What is impossible for mortals is possible for God.”And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
What are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them? What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I am not afraid; what can flesh do to me?In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; God has made the one as well as the other, so that mortals may not find out anything that will come after them.In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for the Lord does not see as mortals see; they look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them as their God; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.”And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?”So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
I, I am he who comforts you; why then are you afraid of a mere mortal who must die, a human being who fades like grass?I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass.
