If you would seriously consider my reproof, I would pour out my thoughts to you and make my precepts known to you. | Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you. |
In God alone is my soul at rest; it is from him that my salvation comes. | Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. |

Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I dwell in him. | He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. |
Observe my Sabbaths and stand in awe before my sanctuary. I am the Lord. | You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the Lord. |
O Lord, all my longing is known to you, and my sighs are not hidden from you. | Lord, all my desire is before You; And my sighing is not hidden from You. |
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. | If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. |
I lifted up my voice in prayer to him; his praise was on my tongue. | I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue. |
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom should I be afraid? | The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? |
Then I acknowledged my sin to you, and I made no attempt to conceal my guilt. I said, “I will confess my offenses to the Lord,” and you removed the guilt of my sin. As long as I remained silent, my body wasted away as the result of my groaning throughout the day. | When I kept silent, my bones grew old Through my groaning all the day long. |
But as for me, I will look to the Lord. I place my hope in God my savior; my God will hear me. | Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me. |
By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples. | By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. |
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. | “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. |
You are truly my rock and my fortress; for the sake of your name, lead and guide me. | For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name’s sake, Lead me and guide me. |
The Lord is my portion, I say to myself; therefore, I will place my hope in him. | “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” |
Why are you so disheartened, O my soul? Why do you sigh within me? Place your hope in God; for I will once again praise him, my Savior and my God. | Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. |
When my anxious thoughts multiplied, your comfort filled my soul with joy. | In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul. |
But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me; you are my glory and the one who raises my head high. | But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. |
If you love me, you will keep my commandments. | If you love Me, keep My commandments. |
Your statutes are my everlasting heritage; they are the very joy of my heart. | Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, For they are the rejoicing of my heart. |
I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah | I spread out my hands to You; My soul longs for You like a thirsty land. Selah |
Listen, my son, and take my words to heart, and the years of your life will be multiplied. | Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, And the years of your life will be many. |
