Oh (4/4)

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
John replied, “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.”He answered them, “He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise.”
And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment.
So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another.
I live because of the living Father who sent me; in the same way, anyone who feeds on me will live because of me.As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on me will also live because of me.
And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.Whoever denies the Son doesn’t have the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also.
When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.
On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!”
Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out and will find pasture.
I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.
No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.No one has seen God at any time. The only born Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared him.
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.
But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.
Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward.Watch yourselves, that we don’t lose the things which we have accomplished, but that we receive a full reward.
Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.Beloved, let’s love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie and don’t tell the truth.
And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his only born Son into the world that we might live through him.
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.
