Bible Verses about 'Person’s'

The words of a gossip are like dainty morsels: they go down into a person’s innermost parts.Rumors are dainty morsels that sink deep into one’s heart.
For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except God’s Spirit. No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit.
There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail. You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.
The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, but the poor hear no threats. The rich can pay a ransom for their lives, but the poor won’t even get threatened.
Then I saw all the labor and achievement that is the envy of a man’s neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind. Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind.
A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.Giving a gift can open doors; it gives access to important people!
Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a kind word makes it glad.Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.
A man’s pride brings him low, but one of lowly spirit gains honor.Pride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but Yahweh weighs the hearts.People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart.
A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.
The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, like an unscalable wall in his own imagination. The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; they imagine it to be a high wall of safety.
If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless. If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.
He said, “That which proceeds out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts, covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the man.”And then he added, “It is what comes from inside that defiles you. For from within, out of a person’s heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these vile things come from within; they are what defile you.”
