Psalm 46 (4/9)

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
In the way of your testimonies I delight as much as in all riches.I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.
I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I set your rules before me.I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set my heart on your laws.
Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain!Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.
And I shall walk in a wide place, for I have sought your precepts.I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.
I hasten and do not delay to keep your commandments.I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands.
I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life.I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Your testimonies are my heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart.Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.
You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word. You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.
The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple. The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.
Keep steady my steps according to your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me.Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.
The sum of your word is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever. All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.
Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble.Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.
Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.Save me, Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber.
The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore. The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.
Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways!Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him.
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord! O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy!Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord; Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope.I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.
Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. The Lord will vindicate me; your love, Lord, endures forever— do not abandon the works of your hands.

O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.

Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.Next verse! With image
