Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin!Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.
Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love.Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord!Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.
What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.
It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice.Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.But the gift is not like the trespass. As for you, O Lord, you will not restrain your mercy from me; your steadfast love and your faithfulness will ever preserve me!Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.
Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord! O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy!Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord; Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.

Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.”Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
Nevertheless, in your great mercies you did not make an end of them or forsake them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.
Return, faithless Israel, declares the Lord. I will not look on you in anger, for I am merciful, declares the Lord; I will not be angry forever.‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord, ‘I will frown on you no longer, for I am faithful,’ declares the Lord, ‘I will not be angry forever.’
For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake.For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.
