Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.
Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
