Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. | You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. |
For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether. | Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. |

Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there! | Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. |
For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. | For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. |
Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way. | Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. |
Hear my prayer, Yahweh. Listen to my petitions. In your faithfulness and righteousness, relieve me. | Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief. |
I spread out my hands to you. My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land. Selah. | I spread out my hands to you; I thirst for you like a parched land. |
Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning, for I trust in you. Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to you. | Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. |
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness. | Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. |
I will exalt you, my God, the King. I will praise your name forever and ever. | I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. |

He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. | He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. |
For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation. | For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. |
Let everything that has breath praise Yah! Praise Yah! | Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. |
Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers. | Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers. |
But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. | But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. |
Salvation belongs to Yahweh. May your blessing be on your people. Selah. | From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people. |

Yahweh, in the morning you will hear my voice. In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly. | In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. |
For you will bless the righteous. Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield. | Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. |
What is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him? | What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? |
