Psalm 71 (3/9)

I rejoice in following your statutes more than I would rejoice in endless riches.I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches.
I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set your judgments before me.I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me.
Dispose my heart to follow your statutes and to flee selfish gain.Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to covetousness.
I will walk in complete freedom because I have sought your commands. And I will walk at liberty, For I seek Your precepts.
I will make haste and not delay to observe your precepts.I made haste, and did not delay To keep Your commandments.
Never will I forget your commands, for through them you have given me life.I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have given me life.
Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light to my path.Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
Your statutes are my everlasting heritage; they are the very joy of my heart.Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, For they are the rejoicing of my heart.
You are my refuge and my shield; I put my hope in your word. You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.
The explanation of your words gives light and imparts understanding to the simple. The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
Guide my steps in accord with your word and never let evil triumph over me.Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me.
Every word you utter is true, and all your righteous judgments are everlasting. The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.
Those who love your law have great peace; they encounter no stumbling blocks.Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble.
Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips And from a deceitful tongue.
I lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where will I receive help? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
He will not permit your foot to stumble; he who guards you will not fall asleep. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.
The Lord will protect you against all evil; he will watch over your life. The Lord will watch over your coming and your going both now and forevermore. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.
Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
If the Lord does not build the house, those who construct it labor in vain. If the Lord does not guard the city, those who keep watch over it do so in vain.Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.
Blessed are all those who fear the Lord and walk in his ways.Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord; O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cries of supplication.Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.
I wait for the Lord in anxious expectation; I place my hope in his word.I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.
How wonderful and delightful it is for brothers to live together in unity.Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
The Lord will fulfill his plan for me. Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the work of your hands. The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
O Lord, you have examined me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I stand; you perceive my thoughts from a distance.O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.

A word is not even on my tongue and you, O Lord, are completely aware of it.For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
