Bible Verses about Freedom

It was for freedom that Christ set us free. Therefore, stand firm and refuse to submit again to the yoke of slavery.Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Now this Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you then will truly be free. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
Brethren, you were called to freedom. However, make sure that you do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Instead, serve one another in love. For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not allow myself to be dominated by anything. All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
I will walk in complete freedom because I have sought your commands. And I will walk at liberty, For I seek Your precepts.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me. He has sent me to announce good news to the oppressed, to strengthen the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom to those held in captivity and release to those who have been imprisoned. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
The misfortunes of the righteous man are many, but the Lord delivers him, from all of them. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
As servants of God, behave as free people, but do not use your freedom as a means to cover up wrongdoing. As free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.
Then Jesus said to those Jews who did believe in him, “If you remain faithful to my word, you will truly be my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Hence, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
However, now that you have been freed from sin and bound to the service of God, the benefit you receive is sanctification, and the end is eternal life. But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring the good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed.
However, the one who looks intently at the perfect law of freedom and perseveres—not forgetting what he has heard but putting it into practice—will be blessed in everything he does. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
He gives a home to those who are forsaken and leads out prisoners amid chants of exultation, while rebels are forced to live in an arid land.God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
What then? Should we sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Of course not! What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!
You must understand, brethren, that it is through him that forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you. All those who believe are justified from all the things from which they could not be justified by the Law of Moses. Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Help us, O God, our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and wipe away our sins for your name’s sake.Help us, O God of our salvation, For the glory of Your name; And deliver us, and provide atonement for our sins, For Your name’s sake!
Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he protects the souls of his faithful ones and rescues them from the hand of the wicked. You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

As a father has compassion for his children,
