Psalm 71 (3/9)

I have rejoiced in your laws as much as in riches.I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches.
I have chosen to be faithful; I have determined to live by your regulations.I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me.
Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money!Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to covetousness.
I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments. And I will walk at liberty, For I seek Your precepts.
I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands.I made haste, and did not delay To keep Your commandments.
I will never forget your commandments, for by them you give me life.I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have given me life.
Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
Your laws are my treasure; they are my heart’s delight.Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, For they are the rejoicing of my heart.
You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope. You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.
The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand. The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me.
The very essence of your words is truth; all your just regulations will stand forever. The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.
Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble.Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble.
Rescue me, O Lord, from liars and from all deceitful people.Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips And from a deceitful tongue.
I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.
The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.
Our help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.
How joyful are those who fear the Lord— all who follow his ways!Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.
From the depths of despair, O Lord, I call for your help. Hear my cry, O Lord. Pay attention to my prayer.Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.
I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word.I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.
How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
The Lord will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.

You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
