He entered the house of God, when Abiathar was high priest, and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and he gave some to his companions.” Then he said to them, “The sabbath was made for humankind, and not humankind for the sabbath; so the Son of Man is lord even of the sabbath.”
You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you.
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.Proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage, with the utmost patience in teaching.
