All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. 1 Corinthians 9:25	Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. So they do it to obtain a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. self-control reward eternal life
And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval. Romans 14:4	Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. faith judgment equipment
Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15	Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. honesty truth work
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12	But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. faith Father children
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. Mark 11:24	Therefore, I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted to you. faith prayer receiving
Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required. Luke 12:48	But the one who did not know it, and committed acts deserving of a beating, will receive only a few blows. Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. 2 Corinthians 5:14-15	For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose on their behalf. love life resurrection

Pride leads to conflict; those who take advice are wise. Proverbs 13:10	Through overconfidence comes nothing but strife, But wisdom is with those who receive counsel. wisdom anger
So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:10-11	Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choice of you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you. calling obedience kingdom
For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:5	For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ. suffering comforter Jesus
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4	Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. suffering worship encouragement
